Man’s body found in car

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Detectives are investigating a homicide in Dayton.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim at Byron Simon, 30, of Dayton.

Police said the body was found in a car in the 3000 block of Palmerston Avenue Sunday at about 9:30 a.m.

The body was found after a neighbor reported suspicious activity to police.

Bullet casings scattered the street where the body was discovered.

Police said the shooter is not known at the time. They are suspecting the shooting might have been drug related.
