Woman arrested for stealing Yorkie

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman was arrested for stealing a teen’s Yorkshire Terrier named “Tinker”.

Latonya Brown, 38, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on charges of burglary.

The incident happened in the 1000 block of Philadelphia Drive just after 8 p.m. Saturday. According to police, the teen was home with another friend when Brown, highly intoxicated, walked into the victim’s home, grabbed the dog, and left.

Officers said the victim and suspect did not know one another.

Brown is expected in court Monday.
