DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – An east Dayton dount shop was robbed early Monday morning.

The suspect walked into Stan the Donut Man at 1441 Wilmington Ave. around 5:45 and asked the worker for two fritters. Detective Danielle Cash said he then put $3 on the counter. “As soon as she opens the drawer to put the $3 in, he pulls out a knife, or what appears to be a box cutter and demands all the money from the drawer,” she added.

Officials said the suspect got away with $63 cash from the cash register.

Customers are outraged by the hold-up. “It’s terrible. It’s nuts,” said Jerry Sanders. “There’s a lot of bad things going on and it’s a shame they have to pick on a place like this, that’s family owned, and I’m sure they’re not working on a big budget”.

Suspect has not been identified or arrested.

The employee was not injured.
