Man flies from England to Dayton to commit sex crime

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – An Englishman was sentenced to 16 years in prison after flying to the Miami Valley to have sex with a minor.

Richard Castle, 47, was arrested at his home in Northampton, England in January 2012. The crime occurred in June 2011.

Castle admitted to posing as a man named Richard Parker on the internet to meet his victim.

He flew to Dayton in June 2011 to have sex with the child. He stayed in the area for three weeks.

The Englewood Police Department and Vandalia Police Department assisted federal prosecutors with this case.
