Mercer Co. woman killed in crash

CELINA, Ohio (WDTN) – A Celina woman was killed in an accident in Mercer County Tuesday morning.

Heather McCormick, 40, of 7495 Staeger Rd. struck a hydraulic crane that had just pulled onto SR 29 from Harris Road, said Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey.

Grey said McCormick’s car hit the rear of the crane. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crane was being driven by Bryan Hirschfeld, 62, of 8259 Mercer-Auglaize County Rd.

Grey said the accident remains under investigation.
