Wright State falls short in Horizon League championship

FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) – The Wright State University Men’s basketball team fell short of the Horizon League Championship.

The Raiders fell to the Milwaukee Panthers 69-63 Tuesday night at the Nutter Center.

Milwaukee struck first with a quick first four points of the game, hitting eight of its first 11 shots. Wright State slowing chipped away at the deficit, but went into half time down 10.

The Raiders made a run for it in the second half, but never got closer than a four point deficit.

AJ Patcher lead the Raiders with 16 points. Matt Vest had 11 off the bench.

Tuesday loss means Wright State will not get a berth to the NCAA Tournament.

The Raiders finish the season at 20-14.
