Police: Woman swipes man’s wallet

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton police are asking for your help in finding the woman they say stole a man’s wallet.

It happened March 9 at the UDF store on Wyoming Street.

The victim left his wallet on the counter after checking out with a couple of 2 liter sodas.

After he walked away, the suspect, who was standing next to him, scooped up the wallet and put it in her bag of goods.

The man realized his wallet was gone when he returned to the counter a short time later to make another purchase.

UDF employees told police the woman is a frequent customer and believe her first name may be Chassity.

Detectives said when the suspect is caught, she will be charged with felony theft.
