Shoup Mill Road in Dayton had to be closed between Needmore Road and North Main Street just before 8:00 because of a number of slide-off accidents that all happened at nearly the same time. No one was injured, but the road was nearly impassable until tow trucks could clear the wrecks.

Just east of there, a woman hit a tree at the intersection of Needmore Road and North Dixie Drive. She was taken to to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment. No other vehicles were involved in that accident.

Three people were hurt in a collision between a school bus and a car on Needmore Road near the intersection of Webster Street.

The school bus was maneuvering around another accident when a Toyota Camry traveling in the opposite direction lost control and hit the bus head-on.

The driver of the car, Muride Cakir, 24, of Beavercreek was taken to an area hospital with what OSP troopers said were serious injuries.

There were four students on the Northridge School District bus, along with the driver and an adult helper. Two of the students suffered minor injuries that were treated at the scene.

2 NEWS had crews out around the Miami Valley this morning and will have a full report beginning at 5:00 on why yesterday’s late season winter storm caused so many problems today.
