FRANKLIN, Ohio (WDTN) – Kettering Health Network announced plans Friday for two new freestanding emergency room facilities.

One will be in Franklin on West Central Avenue at Interstate 75. The other will be built on Washington-Jackson Road in Eaton.

Each ER will look very similar. They will be 11,400 square feet at a cost of about $10-million.

The Franklin ER is expected to create 35 to 40 new jobs including nurses, respiratory therapists, lab techs and technical staff. Four physicians will be on staff as well.

The Eaton ER will create 25 to 30 new jobs.

“We see a need to offer emergency services in the Eaton and Franklin communities,” says Fred Manchur, chief executive officer of Kettering Health Network. “With these freestanding ERs, residents will have better and faster access to quality emergency care closer to home.”

The ERs are being designed and built by Synergy Building Systems.  Both are expected to open in 2015.
