Bank employee robbed at gunpoint

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating after a bank employee was robbed at gunpoint.

Police were called to the Chase Bank at 3703 North Main Street after 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Officers said a bank courier with a bag full of receipts for Chase Bank was approached by an armed man in the parking lot. Police said the suspect pointed a revolver at him and told him to hand over the bag. The victim complied, and the suspect then demanded the keys to his vehicle. The victim refused and the suspect threatened to shoot him and then ran towards the tree line behind the bank.

According to witnesses, the suspect got into a late 1990s silver Monte Carlo on Carter Avenue and fled.

The suspect is described as a white male with a scruffy beard, wearing a black and grey checkered hoodie.

No cash was taken.

Police are still investigating.
