Officials work to determine cause of vacant house fire

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire to spark in a vacant Dayton home.

Crews were called to 44 Marathon Avenue after 11:30 p.m. Friday.

When firefighters arrived, they found flames shooting from a second floor bedroom window.

Firefighters worked quickly to douse the flames before they spread. The second floor and the attic sustained smoke damage.

There were no injuries.
