Area police on the lookout for impaired drivers

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are in full swing and so are area police departments.

Kettering police are stepping up patrols through Tuesday to look for impaired drivers.

The saturation patrols are part of a collaborative zero tolerance approach to combating drunk driving.

They join the OSP, sheriff’s offices and police departments across the area who have extra patrols to keep drivers safe.

And, don’t forget to Arrive Safe in Montgomery County. The program offers a free cab ride home.

All you have to do is call 449-9999 for a safe ride home. Arrive Safe continues through Tuesday morning at 6:00 a.m.
