DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Two people were taken to the hospital after a broken down semi was struck.

It happened just after 11:00 p.m. Sunday in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 in West Carrollton.

Troopers say a broken down semi was stopped on the side of the road when a driver hit the tractor trailer.

Police say that semi was off of the roadway and that it appears the driver left their lane.

No citations have been issued thus far.

That semi truck driver suffered a broken leg and the driver of the car has minor injuries.

What caused that driver to drift off the road is under investigation.
