BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio (WDTN) – A woman whose death seemed suspicious over the weekend was ruled otherwise Monday morning.

The body of Cheryl Logan, 55, was found inside her Bellefontaine home Saturday just before noon.

Police say her husband returned home after a few days away to find his wife dead.

Investigators said they could not rule out foul play at the time due to the condition of her remains.

Her body was removed the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.

Results released Monday say she died of natural causes.

There were five dogs living in the home. The coroner’s report says the dogs damaged the body, making a ruling about her death more difficult.

Bellefontaine Police Chief Brandon Standley says they are no confident her death was natural.
