Two OVI checkpoints set for Washington TWP

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Mont. Co., Ohio (WDTN) – Drivers will encounter two OVI checkpoints Monday night in Washington Township.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and The Montgomery County Combined Agency OVI Task Force will set up the first sobriety check point in the area of N. Marshall and Hyde Park between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The second checkpoint will be held in the area of SR 725 (Miamisburg-Centerville Road) and Congress Park between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

In addition to the checkpoints, the sheriff’s office and the agencies that make up the task force will have additional officers patrolling the streets during the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.

The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office is encouraging anyone who may need a safe ride home to call 449-9999 for a free taxi ride home.
