Teen killed in Shelby County crash

VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – Emergency crews were called to a deadly crash in Shelby County on Tuesday night. It happened in the 8700 block of Lock Two Rd., outside of Kettlersville, around 8 pm.

The Sheriff’s Office told 2 NEWS a 17-year-old boy was riding his bicycle westbound on Lock Two Rd., when he was hit by a pickup truck, also traveling westbound. The boy was declared dead at the scene.

His name has not been released. Officials confirmed the teen and the driver are both from Van Buren Township.

Officials told 2 NEWS they hope to release more information on Wednesday.
