FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) – Fairborn Firefighters acted quickly to save a mobile home from fire.
They were called to 1900 Spangler Road around 11:45 p.m. Monday.
Firefighters say mobile home fires are particularly hard to fight because they spread so quickly, but in this case, they were able to put out the fire in a matter of minutes, keeping the damage confined to one room.
There were a lot of items stored in the room, which the chief says makes the next step more difficult.
“We have to kind of break the room down, to really find out the exact origin. First we find the origin, then work to find what the cause was from there,” said Chief David Reichert.
Chief Reichert says one person was inside when the fire started.
That person managed to get out and call 911 and was checked out by medics at the scene.
