DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers about a scheme targeting Netflix subscribers.

The BBB says victims are led to a phony web site that may resemble the real Netflix login page.

You will be asked to enter your account information and the fake web site will claim your account has been suspended.

You will then be given a fake customer service number and will be asked to download support software that gives crooks full access to your computer.

We asked the Dayton BBB about this news. They tell us there have yet to be any local victims, but say the scheme is spreading across the country. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
