Woman charged in connection with Easter Sunday homicide

RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) – A Fairborn woman has been indicted in connection with the murder of her estranged husband.

Jamie Grachek, 32, faces several charges, including complicity to commit murder. She was indicted Tuesday by a Montgomery County grand jury in the death of John Grachek, 45. Jamie Grachek was arrested shortly his death last year, but the charges were later dropped. Prosecutors said additional evidence was uncovered, leading to the indictment.

Prosecutors told 2 NEWS Jamie Grachek drove two others to John’s Riverside home on Easter Sunday of 2013, intending to rob him. During the course of the robbery, a 911 call was made. Dispatchers heard gunshots and sent police to the home, where they found the victim laying outside with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Two others are also charged in the case. Gary Webb, Jr., is set to stand trial on March 31. Jacob Gipson pleaded guilty to murder and complicity charges in February and is currently awaiting sentencing.

A warrant has been issued for Jamie Grachek’s arrest.
