WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton Dutch Lions are proud to announce construction of a turf playing field at West Carrollton High School.

This will bring the entire Dayton Dutch Lions organization, including the men’s USL PRO and women’s USL W-league teams, to a single location for training and matches. The field will also be used for West Carrollton athletic match-ups.

“It also solidifies an even greater commitment to the local community and schools,” said Mike Mossel, who is the President of Dutch Lions Group.  “With putting a turf field in the West Carrollton High School stadium we are elevating the level of partnership to a next level.”

Dayton Outpatient Center is funding the project, which is estimated to cost $525,000.

The field will officially open on May 10 when international soccer legend Ruud Gullit comes to West Carrollton for the kickoff of the Dayton Dutch Lions FC and LA Galaxy II match.
