Dayton resident says dogs killed his cat and five kittens

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton man wants something done about the dogs that he says killed his cat and five kittens.

In a Dayton police report, Randy Ellis says two dogs showed up at his Embury Park home at least twice.

The first time was in February when he says the dogs killed one of his cats in a neighbor’s yard.

He says they returned in early March only to kill a cat and her five kittens that he let stay on his front porch.

The report says Ellis and the police did locate the dogs and took them to the Montgomery County animal shelter.

The shelter advised him to make a police report.

Police say in the report that they were unable to make contact with the dogs’ owner. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
