Lt. Gov. visits Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN)-Jobs were the hot topic today in Springfield.

Ohio Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor was at the Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport Wednesday for an event hosted by the Ohio National Guard.

She toured the 178th Fighter Wing before speaking to the crowd.

The Lt. Governor talked about Governor John Kasich’s employment Initiatives and education proposals for veterans and active military members.

She discussed his plans to make it easier for veterans to get professional licenses in Ohio, as well as his proposal for service members to receive college credit for previous military training and the skills they’ve acquired.

Governor Kasich will visit Wright State University Friday to talk about those same things; his recent policy proposals to strengthen college and workforce opportunities for Ohio veterans provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
