SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – Bond is set for a Springfield mother accused of drinking and driving with her kids in the car.
A 911 call sent officers to Ooh Ooh Drive Thru on Selma Rd. Tuesday evening, just before 8 pm. The caller reported that an intoxicated woman had driven into the parking lot with three young children in the car. According to the police report, the caller managed to get the children out of the car before the woman drove off.
Police found Kristina Springer, 39, inside a home on Linden Avenue. Officers said she was slurring her speech and could barely stand. Two other children were also in the home. Officers then escorted her to a cruiser, when they were approached by another woman, who said Springer is pregnant.
All five children were released to their grandmother.
Springer is charged with five counts of endangering children, all felonies due to a previous conviction of endangering children. Bond was set at $5,000 Wednesday in Clark County Municipal Court. Springer remained in jail Wednesday night.
