Speeding to blame for I-75 crash

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – Ohio State Patrol investigating a crash that sent one man to the hospital. Authorities said the driver accused of causing the crash is Adrian Days, 27.

They said Days was driving up I-75 North around 1:20 a.m. when he lost control of his Lincoln, crashing into the back of a white van. Troopers said a witness saw Days driving at high speeds and switching lanes right before the crash.

The driver of the white van, Charles Smith, was not injured during the accident. He said this whole thing took him by surprise.

“It popped up out of no where. I didn’t know what hit me at first. All I know is I was hit, then I was in the wall, then where I am right now,” said Smith.

Authorities said they called EMS when they noticed Days was unconscious in his vehicle. First responders rushed him to the hospital where he was treated and released. No word on the extent of his injuries.

Days is charged with failure to control.
