Fire that injured 2 firefighters ruled arson

HARRISON TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – Two firefighters injured during an early morning fire are now out of the hospital, recovering from their injuries.

Fire investigators also ruled the fire in the 3000 block of Hillcrest Avenue an arson. They say some type of incendiary device started it.

The house was empty at the time.

The fire did an estimated $30,000 damage.

The firefighters were treated for concussions and other minor injuries.

Detectives are now investigating who started started the fire.
