2 arrested following Clark County fight

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) –Two people are behind bars in Clark County following a fight that left a man in critical condition.

Deputies stated the incident stemmed from a physical fight over 20-year-old Michael Stapleton’s sister, 21-year-old Danielle. Officers said the fight occurred in the 4600 block of West National Road. According to officials, Michael became irate and struck the victim, Terry Jennings, in the head with a glass mug.

Deputies said all parties involved were intoxicated.

Michael was arrested for assault and underage consumption of alcohol.

Jennings is currently in critical condition at the Kettering Medical Center.

Investigators later learned that Danielle had misled investigators by giving them a false name and fake personal information because she thought she was wanted out of another jurisdiction. She was also arrested on charges of obstructing justice, obstructing official business, and falsification.
