Burglary suspect caught on camera

GERMANTOWN, Ohio (WDTN) – Germantown police released video of an attempted burglar in hopes of catching the suspect.

Officers say the video was recorded on a home surveillance camera the morning on March 13.

“I think the family did everything right,” said Detective Darryl Swafford. “They had their doors locked, they even went a little further and even had surveillance out on their house.  I think they did everything right.”

The video showed the suspect walk up to the homes front door, ring the door bell and then kick in the front door.  Investigators said it appeared something inside the home startled him because he immediately ran away empty handed.
