GARRETTSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — More traffic than usual is clogging the streets of a northeast Ohio village to see the devastating results of a weekend fire that swept through 13 businesses on the main streets.

More than 130 firefighters from 34 agencies battled the blaze Saturday in Garrettsville, a village of about 2,200 residents northeast of Akron in Portage County.

A total of 13 businesses in four buildings were affected by the fire. Three of the four buildings were made of wood and were built in the 1800s, before modern fire codes, officials said.

The Akron Beacon Journal reports that the investigation could take weeks and no dollar amount has been placed on the damage yet.

A meeting for Garrettsville business owners was held Sunday night at a high school.
