DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton police and a heartbroken family need your help solving a murder from last fall.
The family of John Harris, 20, is left with only photographs, memories and questions.
“I never imagined I’d have to bury a child. The hardest thing a mother has to endure in life is to bury your child, so anyone out there with any info please please come forward,” said Mallory Valentine, victim’s mother.
On the late evening of October 15, 2013, Harris was fatally shot while walking in the alley behind 1600 Victor Avenue in Dayton.
The shots were fired by someone in a vehicle that had pulled up and that’s what investigators are focusing on.
Detectives want to identify a white vehicle, possibly a four door sedan, seen at the scene of the crime, hoping it will lead to the passengers who shot him.
Call Crime Stoppers at 222-7867 if you have any information about the crime.
