MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WDTN) –The Dayton Flyers held their first practice before the big game Wednesday.

The Flyers took to the hardwood at the FedEx Forum in preparation for tip-off Thursday night at 7:15 p.m. against the Stanford Cardinal.

The team is working ‘getting the butterflies’ out especially after garnering national attention for their performance in the NCAA Tournament.

The University of Dayton pep band was at the practice to cheer on their team, but screaming and clapping was as loud as they got. No instruments were allowed during practice.

2 NEWS Sports Director Jack Pohl is with the team in Memphis and spoke with several players who say they are happy they’ve come this far, but now all their focus is on Thursday night’s game.
