Flyers fans optimistic for second half

Flyers fans faithful in second half

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – It’s not over until it is over.

Flyers fan filled Flanagan’s Pub in Dayton ready to see another big upset. This time over 1-seeded Florida.

“We came all the way from Detroit,” said Lauri Lemire, a 1987 University of Dayton alum. “We didn’t want to miss this.”

It did not take long for Flyer faithful to get into the game as Dayton continued to fight against the Gators.

Going into the half, however, fans began getting a little quieter as Florida began to pull away with the lead.

The optimism has not dwindled among fans who have already watched their team pull three upsets in the 2014 NCAA tournament.

“It’s still very exciting,” said Rachel Drakulich. “That’s why we’re here. Who know when the next time they’ll make it this far.”
