Homicide detectives investigate shooting

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -Dayton police are searching for a suspect that shot and killed a Kettering man.

Homicide detectives were called to the 200 block of Yale Avenue in Dayton on Sunday night around 9 p.m.

Police found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his stomach. He was immediately taken to Miami Valley Hospital with life-threatening injuries where we was later pronounced dead shortly after 10 p.m.

Witnesses told police the victim was standing outside an apartment complex with some family members. A car drove into the neighborhood, rolled down the window, and a suspect fired a shot at the victim.

Police have not been able to identify the suspect or the vehicle the person was driving.
