Man points gun at victim, demands phone


DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating an aggravated robbery.

Police were called to the 2300 block of Lakeview Avenue before 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

When officers arrived, the victim told police she walked out of her house to go to her car parked on the street when a black SUV pulled up. She said a man got out of the vehicle, pointed a gun at her, and demanded her cell phone. When she told the suspect she didn’t have one, he put the gun up next to her head and she started to scream.

A neighbor walked outside and saw what was happening. The suspect then pointed the gun at him.

The suspect jumped back into the vehicle and sped off towards Randolph Street.

The suspect is described as a black male, mid to late 20s, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and a white shirt.

Shortly after speaking to the victim, police found a black SUV abandoned at the intersection of Kilmer and Lakeview Avenue. According to officers, the vehicle had hit an abandoned home. Police also discovered the vehicle was listed as stolen. The vehicle was towed for evidence.
