2 injured in head-on crash

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (WDTN) – A head-on crash just after midnight sent two people to the hospital.

It happened on Social Row Road near SR 48.

Washington Township fire crews on the scene said it appears the driver of a Pontiac may have gone left of center, hitting a Cadillac.

They said it was difficult to free the driver in the Pontiac.

“Based on the position of the car in the ditch and there’s water running through the ditch and it’s quite muddy, it took them about 15-16 minutes after they started cutting on the vehicle to get him out, ” said shift commander Joel Holbrook.

Both drivers were injured in the crash and taken to local hospitals.

The names and conditions of the drivers have not been released.
