BROOKVILLE, Ohio (WDTN)– Council members are expected to vote on two proposed ordinances that would finalize the decision to move the Montgomery County fairgrounds to Brookville.

The vote was postponed at the last meeting on Tuesday, March 18.

Council members told 2 NEWS they needed more time to work out details of the plan before moving forward.

Funding for construction was one of the issues being discussed in the $16 million project.

If approved, the fairgrounds would relocate from downtown Dayton to an area just northwest of I-70 and Arlington Road.

2 NEWS will be at tonight’s city council meeting, and will let you know what city leaders decide.
