Cruiser struck in Dayton intersection

A police officer was on his way to a shooting when his cruiser was struck by another car.

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A two car collision involving a Dayton Police cruiser closed a busy road.

Officials told 2 NEWS the officer was on his way to a shooting scene, when his vehicle was t-boned by another car at Gettysburg Avenues and James H. McGee Boulevard.

It happened shortly after 6:30 Tuesday evening.

We’re told the officer was checked out by a medic on scene. It’s not clear whether the other drive was hurt.
