DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A vacant house fire early Thursday morning damaged a house next door with people inside.

No one inside that home was injured, but the first home to catch fire on Mia Avenue in Dayton is a total loss.

Firefighters arrived on the scene after 1 a.m. and say they used a defensive attack so the flames did not do too much damage to nearby structures.

Arson investigators are looking into a cause this morning.
