Bomb Squad called out to Clark County home

SOUTH VIENNA, Ohio (WDTN) — The bomb squad was called out to a home in Clark County Friday afternoon.

Officials were called to the 9700 block of Old Columbus Road in South Vienna after 4 p.m. in reference to a mother worried about her son attempting to make an explosive device in his room.

Officials responded to the back bedroom where they found a possible bottle bomb.

The home was evacuated and the fire department also responded to the scene.

The explosive device was contained. No one was injured.

Crews left the scene before 7 p.m.

The juvenile suspect is being treated at a Columbus Hospital for personal reasons.
