Miami Co. woman injured in Missouri crash

JAMESPORT, Mo., (WDTN) — A woman from Miami County was injured in a crash in Missouri involving a multi-passenger van and a tractor-trailer.

The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 6 and Highway NN in Jamestown around 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Troopers said the van failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection when it was hit by a semi.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, ten people were injured as a result of the wreck.

The driver of the van was identified as 41-year-old Wanda Harris of Casstown, Ohio, in Miami County.

Several children in the van were also hurt. Their injuries range from serious to minor.

The semi driver, identified as 45-year-old Juan Castro Garcia of Kansas City, Kansas suffered minor injuries.

Troopers are still investigating.
