SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – Watching Jeopardy on WDTN has been a longtime favorite pastime for a lot of families.  It’s not uncommon for people to imagine themselves being the first to push the buzzer, flipping the answer to host Alex Trebek.

It is a dream that has come true for the head principal at Springfield High School.  Being a Jeopardy contestant was always on Jonathan Kuehnle’s mind.  In December, he got his chance. That’s when the show was taped after a preliminary round in Detroit.  Monday night at 7:30 on channel 2, we will get the opportunity to see how Kuehnle fared on the popular game show.

He said his favorite categories were history, geography and social studies – the subjects he taught before he joined to the administrative staff of the Springfield School District.
