Chief Doug Woodard has been with the department since 1988. He says he’s eager to get started.

“My first order of business is just to kind of get an overall feel for where the police department is at currently and then kind of put together a game plan to move ahead in the future, looking at short term goals and long term goals, some things to consider for the future,” said Chief Woodard.

Chief Woodard replaces Rick Barnhart who retired in October.
