PIQUA, Ohio (WDTN) – Vandals are responsible for $27,000 in damage at a Piqua company.

The owner of Piqua Granite on North Main Street says 19 pieces of granite were damaged beyond repair.

Steve Supinger told our partners at the Piqua Daily Call that 10 of the pieces were already transformed into gravestones that must now be replaced.

That he says could take as long as six months depending on where the granite was acquired.

“They just came here, ignored the signage and just started pushing them all over,” Supinger told the Daily Call. “It just breaks my heart. Some of these were ordered last summer so they could be here in time and ready for Memorial Day this year.”
