DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton man will serve ten year behind bars for raping an 82-year-old Alzheimer’s patient while working as his home health aide.

Marcus Fox, 38, was not only given jail time, he was also labeled a tier three sex offender, meaning once released, he’ll have to register his address with authorities every 90 days.

Investigators say Fox was trusted to care for the victim whenever his wife would leave the house, but found he raped the man at least three times during those visits.

“I think it’s a clear violation of trust. You have an aide taking advantage of his position and victimizing someone who couldn’t protect themselves,” said Tony Schoen, Montgomery County assistant prosecutor.

Investigators caught Fox after he made statements to his co-workers.
