ARCANUM, Ohio (WDTN) – Three people were hurt in a crash in Darke County Thursday evening.

Rescue crews responded to State Route 49 near Oakes Road at 7:40 p.m. They say the cars were traveling on opposite sides of the road when they somehow collided.

Two adults in one car and the driver of the other were taken to Wayne Hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is not known.

Exactly how the cars collided is under investigation.

A short time after that crash, a second crash happened nearby.  Investigators say a pickup truck was blocking the road for the first crash when a car hit it.  The pickup truck driver wasn’t hurt, but the other driver was taken to the hospital.  The pickup driver could face charges.
