Dayton police report rash of burglaries on Demphle Ave.


DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton police are investigating several recent break-ins on Demphle Avenue.

Three incidents were reported on April 4 around 2:30 a.m. Another happened the next day between the hours of 3 and 9 a.m. The targets include a detached garage, parked cars and a residence.

In one instance, police say the thief pried open a window and took a collector’s sword, a garage opener, and a Black and Decker Saw.

In another case, the burglar got money and a TV set. Police say in that case, the thief got in through an unlocked window.

Police say you can protect your property by removing any valuables from your vehicle and always locking cars and garages.
