Springboro schools announce snow make-up days

SPRINGBORO, Ohio (WDTN) – Springboro Community Schools announced its make-up days for having too many snow days this winter.

Students missed eight days, while Dennis Elementary students missed nine due to the nasty weather.

The state only allows for five calamity days every school year. Students will not have to make up five of the days as granted by the state, but they must make up the rest.

The calamity days will be made up in June. Here is the adjusted dates for the last day of school:

  • Last day for preschool students is June 5
  • Last day for K-12 students is June 9
  • Dennis Elementary: Last day is June 10

The calendar changes also affect graduating seniors. Graduation is unchanged on June 7, but senior exams are now June 2 and 3. Graduation practice is June 5.

Seniors do not have to attend school on June 9 which is after graduation.  Grades 9 to 11 will have exams June 5 to 9.
