Dayton church broken into

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Police are investigating after someone broke into a Dayton church and stole a lawnmower.

Officers were called to Calvary Baptist Church at 6 Daniel Street just before 9 p.m. Friday.

According to police, the church deacon was doing some plaster work when he found that someone had punched a hole into a side door that leads to the church basement.

The deacon told police that the church push lawnmower was missing.

Police are still investigating.
