2 people thrown from motorcycle in Darke County

GREENVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) — Two people were thrown from a motorcycle after an accident in Darke County.

Officials were called to McNutt Road just east of U.S. 127 before 3 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies said 52-year-old Ray Homsi was riding his motorcycle southeast on McNutt Road when he failed to negotiate a curve and lost control in some loose gravel. Homsi went off the side of the road and hit a mailbox. Deputies stated Homsi and his passenger, 49-year-old Michelle Homsi, were thrown from the motorcycle.

Both of the victims were wearing helmets.

They were taken to Wayne Hospital where their conditions are stable.

The crash remains under investigation.
