SPRINGBORO, Ohio (WDTN) — The Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities hosted an egg hunt for children with developmental disabilities Sunday afternoon.
Dozens came out to Miracle League Field on South Main Street to collect a full basket of eggs.
“This special event is for families with children who have disabilities,” said Eugene Rose, Board President of the WCBDD. “Children look forward every year to gathering eggs.”
Organizers hid about 1,500 eggs filled with toys and prizes.
Prior to the hunt, the eggs were filled by adults with developmental disabilities, as a special activity at the WCBDD.
The event was sponsored by the WCBDD with support from Springboro Mayor John Agenbroad and his wife, Patti. Agenbroad supported the event in recognition of his granddaughter who has autism.
The WCBDD supports more than 1,400 individuals with disabilities and their families through various programs.
