DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -Gusty winds brought in colder temperatures and a coating of snow overnight.
The leading edge of this spring snow storm has moved east, but not before covering lawns and windshields and leaving roadways wet and potentially slick.
ODOT officials told 2 NEWS they did not pretreat the roads because Monday’s rainfall would have washed it away.
Still, drivers should be cautious on bridges and overpasses because they tend to freeze the quickest.
As the cold front that brought the snow pushed its way through the Miami Valley Monday, it toppled some trees and left about 500 people without power Monday afternoon, mostly in Beavercreek.
We are not done with the cold weather yet. The high Tuesday is only 40. The low Tuesday night is a wintry 24.
